An all inclusive, comprehensive introduction to a variety of different jewellery making disciplines; learn simple yet effective techniques in macrame, wire work, chainmaille and bead weaving in a relaxing welcoming environment at the Aberdeen Well-being centre.

Crafting is widely reported to have many therapeutic benefits from improving dexterity and problem solving skills to the social benefits of crafting together something we have done as humans for hundreds of years! Jewellery making is a mindful activity that has a beautiful result and with guidance from Alex your tutor, each week you will take home a new piece of jewellery with a sense of satisfaction in your new found skills.

This class has limited spaces so please make sure to book early to avoid disappointment.

Each session is 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm
Thursday 10th May - General techniques: beginners necklace, bracelet & earrings
Thursday 17th May - Working with wire: messy wrap earrings
Thursday 24th May - Cord techniques: macrame and kumihimo bracelets
Thursday 31st May - Knotting with cord: celtic knot bracelet
Thursday 7th June - Chainmaille: jingle jangle bracelet and captured bead
Thursday 14th June - Bead weaving: jenny bracelet

This workshop is hosted at the Aberdeen Wellbeing Centre, a wonderful resource for holistic therapies, workshops and fully stocked with crystals, chimes, incense, books, CD's, and beautifully indulgent pottery pieces.
